Back in Fargo
Well, graduation has come and gone, and I've made the move back to Fargo, ND. Despite having been in Denver for the past three and a half years it still feels like home and I look forward to the spring and summer thunderstorms that I missed.
Almost one month of being back and the Job hunt is in progress. I've reached out to a few companies to make contacts and hopefully start establishing a network at the very least but it is very much still a waiting game as well. I am waiting for word back on a part time job that I interviewed for last week that will be a step in the right direction and I look forward to that.
Besides the networking and sending out cover letters and resume's however though I am also planning and starting work on what I hope to be a set of paintings that will be turned into a calendar. Hopefully this is something I can have done in time for 2011 but time will tell. Big thing for me right now is to just keep moving forward.

Final Portfolio Review - PASSED
My final review, the only one I've had that I was really apprehensive about at all, has taken place and with relieve and a bit of excitement I can happily announce that I've cleared it. This was the final 'checkpoint' leading up to my graduation so now everything will continue as planned with our Portfolio presentations next Friday at the Denver Convention Center then followed by the graduation ceremony itself. Then come Saturday I load up and clean out my apartment and begin to make the trip back up to Fargo, ND on Sunday. I can only say its been a long trip in my student career, but I am also looking forward to finally moving on from school as well.

New Memberships and Updates
Submitted my membership to the Graphic Artist Guild today as an associate member. Things are going to be busy as I finish up my internship work with Untimely Films, finish my last quarter at the Art Institute of Colorado and prepare for my relocation back to Fargo, ND at the beginning of April. Come March I should be getting a demo reel posted here as well. Other exciting news is contact with Results Unlimited, a Marketing firm with offices in both Fargo and Minot in North Dakota. I hope to be building a good networking relationship at the very least with them in the next few months.

Internship, Demo Reel and Upcoming Holidays
Things are definitely getting busy as I continue to work on my project with Untimely Films and the current quarter starts drawing to an end. Demo Reel is definitely eating up large amounts of time now with renders that need to be completed, but I think my time table on that is looking fair at the moment. In other news I submitted a piece to Blizzard Entertainments Holiday Card Fanart Contest. It can be seen in a wallpaper format on my Deviant Art account.

Internship
I will be soon working with the gentlemen of Untimely Films for an internship. I'm really looking forward to it. I believe I will learn a lot and gain some valuable experience.
